Ok.. here is the deal.
There are so many fake accounts on TN. In order to be taken seriously, alot of us on there require any genuine contacts made to be certified members. You have to submit a clothed photo of ypurself holding a printed or hand written piece of paper with the code they give you and your TN user name on it.
And yes, you have to take a picture of your state issued ID/license card... but you can blot out all the sensitive information. All they need to see is your ID picture and the issuing state on the card to verify you are who you say you are. All other information can be covered up to protect your identity. (FYI- this picture is not shared on the website.)
An administrator will then compare your registration photo and ID photo with your actual registration information and code. Then they will approve it and, after a short period, you will be certified.
This is the vetting process we use to verify authenticity and honesty in those we contact. No exceptions.
I have received several requests from similar user names, (i.e. a different number attached to the same name). Each one has not been certified... and each the couple I have messaged back tell me the same sob story that they have tried to get certified but either the website is not working for them or they don't want to upload their ID photo.
To me, and many others on TN, this is a red flag that informs us that you are probably not who you say you are and are not genuine in your desire to get to know someone.
Plus... for myself.... I require that, once you are certified, you should upload your registration photo with the paper to your gallery so there is no dispute that you are who you say you are. You should also add several other pictures to your gallery of yourself, including nudes (after all, you are on a nudist website.) If you don't want to add them, maybe you shouldn't be on "True Nudists"... just saying
That is all I have to say on the matter. If you are genuine and honestly want to talk further, these steps have been done.
