- Weather was perfect at Waukegan North Beach yesterday: No wind, no bugs. No swimming in April Lake Michigan, obviously, but grand time. There were only a couple other people there, who were fine with my nude sunbathing (I did ask, while clothed, if they'd mind). Remember, it's free entry on weekdays, and on weekends before (I think) memorial day. It's a long hike (about the same as the nature center to the dead river at IBSP), but worth it.
