- So, all I can think is that I must have been VERY naughty this year. Santa did not put coal in my stocking --- he put COVID instead. Jim was in ER all day Monday and tested positive - I felt fine until Monday night when my throat felt a little scratchy. I took a Tylenol and slept most of the afternoon, and decided I needed some antiseptic cleansing withing, so Jim made me a Long Island Ice Tea. Looking forward to a Merry Christmas & Happy & Healthy New Year for ourselves and all our dear friends here.
- Tell Jim happy birthday, and many nude hugs coming your way..you two are amazing

About NakedReader
My profile is way overdue for an update, so I'll start with this: The first thing I'd like to share about myself is that I'm FAR more interested in what a man has between his ears than what he has between his legs!!
And I'm even MORE interested in anyone who exhibits an ample supply of INTEGRITY.
ALSO, probably my most motivating force within me is to communicate with other people, but when someone messages me all day long, that tells me that they have way more time on their hands than I do, and I consider my TIME to be my most valuable asset (surprise -- you thought it was my boobs)!
Also, and I regret this, I have a gazillion friends already and a gazillion un!answered friend requests. Please take no offense, but I'm narrowing down my contacts here to exclude people who live on the other side of the planet, or even more than 1 time zone away. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but I value my time too much to invest it ion something that is so trivial. I'd rather be at the gym.
So if you don't provide a little information about yourself - and/or if you're younger than any of my kids, I'll probably decline your friend request. You should have at least been born prior to the Woodstock Festival, even if you were too young to attend. I was there but I'm sure I wouldn't remember you anyhow. Actually, I've made exceptions to this standard as a couple of my closest friend here were not born until 1970 or later, which would make them "post-Woodstock" babies, although it's still possible that a few may have been conceived at Woodstock.
Secondly, I do not usually accept friend requests from folks with blank profiles.
For the most part, I'd say that I had a pretty happy childhood. I was taught to believe in the holy trinity: Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and the Tooth Fairy. Through the years, these three entities would faithfully show up, without fail, to perform their various duties at the appropriate times.
I do not have a Skype account.
You can be assured that the age in my profile is accurate. I do take good care of myself, exercise daily, and practice conscious (as opposed to "mindless") eating habits. I read the ingredient labels on almost everything I purchase, and I try to get an adequate amount of sleep each night and drink at least 3 qts of water/day - actually, that includes coffee, tea, Bai, and adult beverages (my favorites in the last category are Long Island Ice Tea and Gin & Tonic).
I am friendly, outgoing, adventurous, and optimistic for the most part. In addition, I am compassionate and understanding.. I genuinely care for other people. That does not mean that I put up with any crap, but if there is any way that I can help anyone who could genuinely benefit from my help, I will go the distance. What can I say? Some folks love their gardens. Some folks love their pets. Most of all, I love people and BOOKS!
Happy to make friends with single, divorced, widowed or married guys, couples & females but will delete and BLOCK anyone who is pushy or rude in the chatroom, or who messages me all day long, whether in main chat or in PMs. I will also bring it to the attention of the moderators (whom I've discovered are looking out for the safety, comfort, and best interests of all who are members of this site).

Who I'd like to meet
Adventurous people, risk-takers, curious and creative people. I changed my religion from Christian to "other" but I'm really more of a "Free-range Christian" in faith and practice, but that was not offered as an option. For me, the great dividing line is honesty vs dishonesty. We should all be true to ourselves and to each other and understand that the person standing next to you is of no less or more value than you are.
My Interests
Star-gazing. I love to soak in our jacuzzi at night and look at the wonderful tapestry in the sky. Besides reading, I love to cook and so I have a little herb garden, but I honestly do NOT enjoy gardening. I'm interested in far away places and places as near as the inside of my head - thoughts, emotions, longings, perspectives and also the pure mechanics of how the brain works! I like Science-y stuff. I do NOT have time to waste on reading romantic drivel. It holds no interest for me. I have a ton of books lined up to read next, but prefer to read on my Kindle, if possible, so I can prop it up on the treadmill. I have so many other responsibilities at home that I'm unable to read there. The gym is my "me time".
Movies
l'll add to this list but my current favorite is Midnight in Paris. Another one of my all time-favorites is not very well known and is called "Bagdad Cafe". It's not recent (1987) so you may have a difficult time finding it., but it'll be with the effort! Also loved O, Brother, Where art Thou? , Yesterday, Lars & the Real Girl, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind....to be continued, but mostly I like to read books - short stories, novels, poetry, biographies, more Science-y stuff. 2 mind-blowing books I've read over the past few years are Industries of the Future and The Fifth Threat. Just finished reading "The Reservoir" by David Duchovny. If you managed to survive 2019-2022, you will appreciate this book (unless you're illiterate). It's a short novella available at almost all public library systems. Currently re-reading "Games People Play" by Eric Berne, which I was a little too young and lacking in life experience to fully appreciate when I read its first publication back in the '60s. I purchase new books and add them to my Kindle library faster than I can read them. Just downloaded "Mrs Galloway" by Virginia Woolf after watching the movie based on the book called "The Hours" loaned to me by a friend at the gym.
Music
Classical, blues, folk, old time rock n roll. I recently bought a new car and am so loving the built in Bose sound system. I especially like Bob Dylan and consider him to be the greatest lyricist of our time. Spotify has gotten to know me and plays Dylan, Dave Van Ronk, and other artists that its AI has discovered I like and put them all in a soundtrack for me. It makes driving a pleasure.
