About Acbtrs

I just updated my profile, which was overdue. I have been an AANR member since 1993.I have
also been a member at a nudist FAMILY resort
for 26 years and enjoy nudist activities such as
bowling and yoga. I started exercising in the
army years ago. I haven't worked in exercise
field but do have a degree in Adult Fitness and
Exercise and have been a daily exerciser
throughout my life. A bike was my primary
mode of transportation for 20 years, and I have
walked to work for 48 years. I have worked in
for-profits, a labor union, the military, and
retired from a non-profit. I have spent many
years in the academic environment. While my Master's degree is in Political Science, most of my coursework was in Women's Studies. Going from a steelworker and army medic to Women's Studies is a long story.

My Interests

Being curious has allowed me to continually learn and grow. I enjoy museums, indie films, dance performances, the symphony and theatrical performances that leave me thinking. When not involved in formal academic work, I pursue subjects of personal interest such as acting, dancing, fencing, and pickleball lessons currently. I enjoy exploring other cultures through travel. While i haven't traveled since biking around Cuba in 2019, I am certainly looking forward to traveling again.

As a former army medic, I certainly appreciate first responders, teachers, nurses, and all those on the front line. The writings of Erich Fromm, Howard Zinn, Aldous Huxley, and Thoreau have affected my life.
