About hobanthornton
My name is Alec Frazier. I was born in Boston in 1986 and lived the first seven years of my life in Newton, Massachusetts. In 1994 my family moved to Boulder, Colorado, where I grew up. I performed my first public speaking engagement before Colorado Lieutenant Governor Gail Norton at age eight. At age thirteen, I got my first piece of legislation passed, a state constitutional amendment lifting limits on funds for special education. Sensing a need to return to familiar turf, my family and I moved to Ithaca in 2004 after he had graduated high school.rnrnI received my Associates from Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3), but have also taken classes at the University of Colorado at Boulder and Cornell. I obtained my B.A. in Political Science from the University at Buffalo. I am currently pursuing an M.A. in the Humanities-Interdisciplinary with a formal Concentration in Disability Studies, also from the University at Buffalo. As a person on the Autism Spectrum, I was a 2011 summer intern with the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), the nations largest cross-disability organization, where I helped pass federal legislation establishing the Community Living Administration. While in Washington, I was the recipient of a standing ovation from the Honorable Ambassador Jean Kennedy Smith, John F. Kennedys last living sibling. I have since worked with the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network (ASAN) and VSA, the international organization on arts and disability, and the University at Buffalos Diversity in Disability Planning Committee (UB DDPC). I am currently working with the US Business Leadership Network (USBLN) and Western New York Independent Living (WNYIL).

Who I'd like to meet
I am gay, but I consider myself to be homoflexible. This means that I am interested in romantic relationships with men only, but I am also interested in friendship, sex, picture exchanges, casual conversation, and other interactions with women. I tend not to discriminate if you are transgendered or transsexual. What matters to me is if you are a good person!
My Interests
I am a member of the Comic Book Club of Ithaca (CBCI), the oldest continuously operating comic book club in the USA. I have given several presentations to the club, which hosts the Ithacon comic book convention each year. I am also a founding member of Visions Comic Art Group in its current incarnation, and serve as its photographer and assist with its social media. I also help put on the Buffalo Comicon each year in October.
Movies
My favorite movie is James Cameron's Avatar. I also love most of the movies made out of Marvel comics, and I also love the James Bond films and the Star Trek films. Star Wars, not so much, although I love the expanded universe. I am fond of the films in the Twilight Saga, and I also like various other films, such as American Hustle, Remember Me, the Batman Begins trilogy, and many foreign and independent films. I am also fond of The Imitation Game, The Theory of Everything, Motorcycle Diaries, Amlie, Argo, and many documentary films.
Music
I do not like the bands so much as I like individual songs. Songs I have liked have been by bands such as the Beatles, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Imagine Dragons, Queen, Muse, Five for Fighting, Dolly Parton, REM, James Taylor, Green Day, No Doubt, Cher, and many others. I love oldies! I am not too fond of the new wave of low-quality country, and I abhor Lady Gaga.
My Heroes
In my opinion, the best person to have ever lived was Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He changed the nation and then the world for the better, all the while living with a severe disability. The greatest person alive today is probably Jimmy Carter, not only for his work as president, but for his work as an international peacemaker afterwards. I respect a number of people who, like myself, have or have had autism, and have made the world a better place, such as Thomas Jefferson, Bill Gates, Leonardo da Vinci, and Nikola Tesla.
