First of all I am a firm believer in Christ which means I am a Christian. I'm not perfect and definitely not one to judge others. Last but not least, I've received requests to smile in my pictures LOL. It's just an ingrained response to having served so many years in the military. I'm a really happy and funny person I just usually don't smile for photos unless you've got me rolling on the floor laughing from something you've said and just happen to catch me laughing. Anyway, I've traveled all over the world due to serving in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army on active duty for almost eleven years. I've seen a lot in my travels and have experienced quite a bit. I've been witness to humanity at it's best as well as it's worst. As a result I'm in touch with what's really important in this world. I'm a worldly country boy as they say. I grew up on a 400 acre farm next to my grandparents that was originally part of a huge plantation that has been in the family since the late 1700's. I've been married twice almost 9 years the first time and 5 years the second time. I don't have problems with commitment or being faithful to my partner. I pride myself on having never cheated on anyone I've ever dated or been in a relationship with. I have a son Brendan who is 17 years old from my first marriage and a daughter Chloe who is 14. From my second marriage I have a daughter Grace who is 11 years old and a son Nicholas who is 10. I am not scarred by my relationships and even though they ended I learned something not only about myself but life in general. Life isn't perfect, there will always be ups and downs no matter how hard we try. The important thing is that we take adversity as it comes and stand with friends, family and loved ones no matter what the result. I've never been one to quit in the face of adversity and believe in standing by my true friends and family no matter what the problem.

I am a very easy going fun loving person that tries to surround myself with the same type of people. I can't stand negative people as life is too short to sweat the small stuff and the majority of it is all small stuff. I love to do just about anything and everything. I love travel, sightseeing, hiking, camping you name it. I'm pretty much a jack of all trades. I was a U.S. Navy Search and Rescue Swimmer in the Navy and a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Systems Mechanic in the Army. I can fix my own car, repair electronics, build computers, build just about anything carpentry related, etc. I am very good with my hands but I am also an intellectual person. I love to read and learn new things. I've recently been intrigued with alternative building styles, Green Building techniques, alternative energy to include solar and off the grid living. I think it would be awesome to have a home where I was completely self sufficient, i.e. solar cells provided enough power to run everything in the home and have the power company send me a check each month for excess energy I sell to the grid, etc. I'm also a very good cook. I learned how to cook from my mother and grandmother and over the years have expanded my repertoire to include numerous types of cooking. I am an excellent cook and enjoy gourmet cooking. I've had previous friends and roommates over the years that had girlfriends that would bring groceries over for some of their favorite dishes that I cooked and beg me to cook for them. It's one of my passions and I really love cooking for family and friends. As far as education goes, I have a B.S. degree in Justice and Public Safety from Auburn University Montgomery with minors in Security Administration/ Corporate Security and Paralegal Studies. I came within two classes of having my American Bar Association Accredited Paralegal Certificate. I also have a Masters in Business & Organizational Management from Troy University with a concentration in Human Resources Management.

Professionally, I work in the healthcare field at the Director / Department Head level within three hospitals in Alabama. My area of expertise is healthcare administration. I've been in charge of the Environmental Services department at the hospitals I worked at. At the last hospital I was at I managed over 200+ employees. Healthcare Administration fascinates me due to the fact that you have to be creative and figure out how to properly direct and manage an healthcare organization so that everything works the way it's supposed to. There are always new and demanding challenges so no day is the same.

As far as a relationship goes I'm looking for someone that is loving, understanding, compassionate, a free spirit, loves to travel and experience new things, etc. I want someone that will be my best friend as well as my soul-mate. Ultimately, I want to find the person that I will spend the rest of my life with and create a loving, caring family with. My grandparents were married for almost 60 years before my grandmother passed away. My grandfather died less than 6 months later due to a broken heart. He lost all his will to live after losing her. She was his everything. That is what I want in a partner, someone that I can be there for and love unconditionally, support and just nurture a love that will last forever.
