About Shadehallow
Given the choice I'd be alone in the woods enjoying the rain. I love a good run through the trees and fields at the fringes of night through early dawn with nothing but the moon to keep me company. More often though I spend my freetime writing, scheming, and daydreaming the night away. I welcome others in either case so long as conversation touches on the intricacies of the universe more than local gossip, but I tend to listen more than I speak and I am nocturnal by nature if not by career alone. The night is far more conducive to insight and creativity than is every possible creature/object/aberration in range relentlessly sounding off in a hopeless effort to be noticed while a giant ball of fire burns across the sky. Give me night anytime.

My Interests
Writing is my hobby of choice. I may be too much of a perfectionist to ever finish anything, but I enjoy delving into other worlds and logging in a story or twelve to discover again later. Between stents in other worlds I like to scrawl black shit on white surfaces - results vary from interesting or disturbing fantasy images, technical sketches, or gloomy poetry, but may just as likely be engine grease on an old t-shirt. Here lately I've been experimenting with absent space drawings in charcoal, so sometimes I even clean some of the black shit off after I get it everywhere! Group activities tend to revolve around swordplay, archery, mil-sim, etc in addition to all the hiking usually required to find suitable locations for such activities.
Movies
I'm probably more particular of movies than I should be. There must be a good story but also good camera direction, scenery, setpeices, and visible emotion. And they are almost unerringly far too short for the intended tale. I tend more towards watching a select few television series' in their entirety than a mediocre box-office hit.
Music
Anything that exhibits some level of talent and creativity. Ixnay on the ap(c)ray.
