About Tomkitten
I am a late-comer to naturism. I love it, but I'm still learning. At the moment, I'm finding it difficult to keep it up during the English winter, so I'm looking forward to doing more in the spring. I'm also finding it very complicated to navigate with friends and family. Interested in the experience of others. Do you keep your naturism separate from the rest of your life, or can it be an integral part of your existence? And, for those who don't live in warmer climes, what do you do in winter?
Not sure how much longer I will stay with True Nudists. It seems to be dominated by men, not all of whom seem to adhere to the non-sexual ethos of naturism. Very impressed with the bravery of the women who do venture onto it, given the unwanted attention they get from we menfolk. If we were more thoughtful about the way we treated the opposite sex, there might be more female naturists.
I'm also finding the site a bit on the quiet side. I don't get much if any response to my posts on the few groups to which I belong. And in terms of friends' requests, they seem to come mainly from young women who it would probably be unsuitable for me to be friendly with. I respect hugely the bravery of women who are genuine naturists, but I'm afraid I am a little suspicious of some of those who get in touch. I wish more of the real female naturists would write blogs to balance up what we hear from the menfolk.
