How Natural is Natural?
I've noticed many, if not most, people around here enjoy being nude for the sake of being "more natural". Makes sense, but I'm curious.
I do not shave my body (legs, underarms, pubes, etc.) as I love the look and feel of what my body naturally grows. I definitely think that body hair is wonderful. I mean, it's supposed to be there. But, I see lots of people on here that make it seem like being almost totally hairless is the norm, regardless of your gender.
So what are your folks opinions on body hair in general, especially on feminine folk?
It's a fashion trend. Speculation is that it was started by porn actors & actresses. Enough people watch that that they started adopting the style shown in the movies & pictures.
The Naturist Living Show podcast did an episode on pubic hair a while back: www.naturistliving.bareoaks.ca/2014/02/pubic-hair.html
I'm also of the opinion that as women's swimsuits have gotten smaller it is easier to just shave it all off. Or maybe because women are shaving it all off, the suits can be smaller without hair poking out?
P.S. Oops. I see now that I posted in "The Ladies Room". Sorry. When I view new posts and scan down I usually don't pay attention to where the posts are. Hopefully the ladies will pardon my intrusion into their space.
Head and facial hair is natural, so why not let it continue growing without ever trimming or shaving ?Having a profile photo is also natural, so why hide yourself ?
I was just curious to see others opinions on hair ideals, be it head, facial or otherwise because it seems that the majority of people prefer removing most of their hair. Which I just find interesting as this is a subculture based upon being in one's natural state.
And I do apologise about the lack of pictures, to my understanding you must be a "certified" user to upload them which I am attempting to become. Right now my phone, which is my only connection to the internet, is not allowing me to upload the necessary photos to initiate the process.

You are misinformed, PeskyPagan. Certification is not required for uploading pictures. Only around 6 % of members are certified. I'm not sure how youuploadpicture by phone, I'm one of those old fashioned peoplestill usinga normal phone with the prime function of making phone calls. I use a laptop or computer for the internet. I'm a firm believer in one tool for one job. No multi-purpose tool ever does anything satifactory.
Those who prefer to be called naturists rather than nudists probably attach some significance to the "return to nature" aspects of our lifestyle, but I suspect the rest of us probably consider such things as shaving to be no more than a personal grooming choice.
