what are the size number? 0 small or lg, 3 , bigger mean lg gauge?

For gauges, 000G, 00G, 0G, 2G, 4G, ...

000 is very thick, 14G is quite fine. You can Google for more information and images.

12mm, going for an elusive 1/2" soon. Goal size is 5/8, maybe bigger if I can find it available.

00G. Took a long time to get from 0G (8mm) -]00G (10mm) for some reason. Had to stretch up to 9mm before going to 10...most guys find this easier as the jewellery is heavier. I have a bit of scar tissue from a few years back where I tried to stretch too fast, so I'm guessing this may be the reason why.

My goal was to get to 0G and when I got there I stayed for about 1.5 years before deciding I was ready to try the next size up. The jewellery is definitely much heavier, and I can't wear it in airports as it sets off the scanners (that was a nice chat I had with the security officer, especially because I was with friends who didn't know)

I can't compete with you guys. I just upgraded mine from 6 gauge (4mm) to 4 gauge (5mm) last week. And BTW I set off airport security scanners one time in two. That might be down to my 6 other piercings.

I'm trying to go from a 4g to a 2g. Having a difficult time with stretching with a taper. Just doesn't seem to want to stretch.
