First Timer

Just back from my first time at RI with some friends that have been before.
It was in better shape than I expected after reading reports of how run down it is. It didn't seem that way to me at all.
We did a bit of 4 wheel driving exploring the areas (large areas) and stopped along the river for some swimming. It's really beautiful being there, you really feel like you are a million miles from anywhere & everyone. Very private.
Late afternoon is when people seem to get together, drink, chat etc. The swimming pool & spas were great and the people were very friendly as expected. The wood fired sauna was very nice too.
The majority of the people seemed like regulars there and they all seemed to know each other. Obviously they were happy to see some fresh, younger skinned, guests too.
Overall, good fun.
