My first ever meet up was a complete nightmare - was so conscious about not getting aroused, spent most of the two hours staring at china plates on the guy's wall to take my mind off it. Needless to say, didn't work

Ah yes the getting aroused was my fear the first time too.
Afterwards I came to 2 realisations

1) its only natural
2) an erection is like a yawn, one starts and the rest follows

Thats how my first time went as well, nervous on not to be and happened anyhow.
If it happens now, I just stopped caring and ignore it.

I don't have that problem for two reasons: 1 I know the difference between nudity and sex - I can happily sit and chat naked with other nude men (and women) with no sexual stirrings; and 2 I'm possibly past it - Sometimes I can't get erect even when I want to. Maybe #2 is the cause of #1, lol.
