Autralian weather

My wife and I are visiting Melbourne and Sydney in late March. What can expect the weather to be like? Are there any beached or clubs near those cities that we could visit and how would we get there, since we will not have a car?

I loved Bondi Beach while I was there...briefly.....about 20 years ago. I assume the folks down under are still just as friendly and accomodating as they were. I would love to be going back there again!

Am here at this moment and it is wet. Warm but wet. Port Macquarie was clearing up but it has been soggy in Coffs all weekend.
On the good side in the previous weeks it was nice all up around the gold Coast and N of Brisbane - I didn't get any farther than Noosa.

So far 2010 has been one of the wettest years on record especially on the east coast. Right now there are floods in Queensland and New South Wales. This is caused by the La Nina effect on pacific ocean temperatures where we usually have wetter than average years.
This doesn't mean it's all bad. Western Australia is having great weather right now.
