Help Nudist now post breast cancer surgery
So? Go about your life as normal. Ive seen women with single and double mastectomies at nude resorts. I felt, good for you, more power to you. They treated it as nothing more than a story of lifes ups and downs.
So sorry to hear this poor you. It does not matter what we say here ultimately it is how you feel.
I once new a guy who had lost almost all of is calf muscle on one leg. This was due to a motor bike accident. It was very obvious a wonder he was able to walk. He wore his scars like a badge of honor. I lived I am alive I am a survivor.
Your scars/reconstructed breast say the same about you. One of the beautiful things about nudism is it highlights we are all different and I don't think anyone is going judge you. They may be more willing to talk to you as it gives them reason to strike up a conversation.
Reconstructed breast I believe are missing nipples (May be different now). Some women get nipples tattooed on others get beautiful elaborate tattoo right across their breast so that the tattoo is the point of interest.
I do agree with the above post. Live and enjoy. Cancer has taken so much form you if you enjoy nudism don't let it stop you. You are still you... Your breasts did not define you.
Keep strong I hoper you find your path.
I agree with what others said. Just be you. The new you. I too have seen women at the nude resorts that's had total mastectomies and they go about things as regular as anybody else. Including swimming. I ve seen not so confident women who are insecure of themselves nude, or new at the resort gravitate to these women. I think it builds their confidence. Ive seen amputees, war wounds, colostomies and much more. And they all seem well adjusted in the environment.
I fully understand your concerns so this true story from a few years ago may amuse and help you.
I am as breast fixated as most men and one time we were at our usual weekend nudist campground and my wife said something about the lady with the mastectomy I replied that I hadn't seen her. My wife then told me that I had been chatting to her for the last quarter hour.
That may give you an idea of just how little embarrassing your new appearance really is.
I know nudists who have had mastectomies who continue to socialise as nudists. I know other nudists who have had operations which change their physical appearance significantly who still mix nude with others. I know that this type of change caused them to seriously consider whether they would continue to be social nudists, understandably so. At least one of the women who had a mastectomy took a good while to re-appear in public. As far as I am aware none of them have had a bad experience when returning to the nudist world, these are all people who I know reasonably well. Real nudists are well known for being accepting of others in the variety of ways that we all come in.
I spent yesterday at a nudist spa with a few friends. One of them lost an eye and part of a leg in an accident some years ago, she was as involved in social interactions as much as any of us that we had there with other nudists. Her physical appearance did not mean that she was dealt with in a different way by strangers to the rest of our group.
Good luck.
Bf and I have enjoyed nudist activities past 10 yrs.Recent breast cancer....Now double mastectomy with reconstructionWhat do i do now.Getting them fixed but they dont look natural55yr old
What you do is count yourself as a survivor! It's the person inside that is important not your body parts. We hope all goes well with your surgery, your reconstruction surgery and your recovery.
Once healed and ready to visit clubs, resorts, beaches, any nude venue, just do it! My wife and I have seen many, many female breast cancer survivors and we congratulate them on their recovery and their remission. The lack of breasts, the reconstructed breasts are of no consequence to real nudists. Real nudists will accept you for who your are.
The best to you!
First of all, Im very sorry about your cancer and Im hoping that you will have a good recovery.
I had a friend that lost a breast. She had a reconstruction and kind of wanted to show it off. She asked me to go to the nude club (the only time Ive had a woman ask me). She was comfortable there and we ended up having a talk about her recovery. The next thing we know, a woman comes up to us and asks her, are you a survivor too.
They had a great talk.
I dont know if this will be your experience, but remember that there are women everywhere that have gone through this. You wont be alone.
I have to agree with everyone else based on my resort experience which total 5 different locations.
First let me wish you the best of health in the future and we all know you will fight through this. At every resort visit I have been too you see a number of women who have scares from their struggle with the terrible illness but who, can feel completely at home. I proud of being a nudist to say that in our community it makes no difference what scares your body may have or illness you may have because you will be completely accepted.
Best of future luck and be proud of your fight!
