Happy Nude New Year, but spare a thought for our friends in Australia who are suffering the effects of global warming, with bush fires destroying homes and people's lives. My heart goes out to them, as it's not their fault, but is the result of over-industrialisation, and destruction of natural habitats. We cannot continue destroying nature without destroying ourselves.

Thanks Dave for your thoughts. Sydney itself is, mercifully, free of fire atm, but much of the state is in a dire situation. Several lives lost, over 1000 houses and millions of hectares of bushland. We've had no rain for months and none is forecast in the near future.

It's heartbreaking to watch on TV. You Aussies are a tough lot though, and I'm sure you will all get together and rebuild, as soon as you get some much-needed rain.
