I have been flagging fakes and pornographic pics for years, but don't bother much now because it rarely does any good.
The bell icon show's a new one almost every day. I just checked it, the newest is 20 day's old. And many before that are gone as well ;-) Flagging seem's to be working. I will keep flagging as a public service ;-) Hopefully to prevent some of the lonely old farts here from friending fakes and getting scammed out of hard earned money.
It is also rewarding to leave a window open to those profiles and in 2 or 3 days hit the refresh button and get the message "User not found" ;-)
Might be far easier to list the lonely old men with money so that the scammers can go straight to them and leave those who are not interested alone. Plenty of old lonely dudes here who have money to give away and so why get in the way of them doing so.
After some of us started complaining some time ago, things did quiet down on the fake spam accounts. For the first time in a couple of weeks I actually had one friend me today. Let's be real. Who seriously puts I'm honest and loving person in their profile?
Daily I am receiving messages or friend requests from supposed females, usually with oversexualised photos and often with links to other sites within either their profile or posted on their wall. At this rate Ill be blocking all women on here as a knee jerk reaction. In addition, no matter how many times I mark messages as spam or delete the messages they come back in a page reload.
Are the Admins here or doing anything here?
