Yes a full long beard looks good but it can get a bit untidy. I think regular trimming is good.

While I worked at a day job I kept my beard trim. I had to as a stipulation of the work environment. But now that I have retired I have let it grown out the way it was when I was self-employed. The difference now is back then I had a red beard but now I could be Santa.
