Where is all the fine photography?
So many members here and so very little photography to show for it. And most members don't even have more than a single pic in their media to share. Come one folks...show what you can do!
In response, I uploaded two composites to group media. I hope that you find them worthy and interesting.
From my perspective, the problems are:
(a) you pretty much have to be a paid member to contribute or see other people's work in a group gallery. Otherwise, as soon as there are six uploads beyond yours, you lose control of it and can no longer even see it. Being a paid member would be less of a problem if the payment options were a bit more diverse than they are - on CC handler who I have no personal experience with, a cheque in the post (!), cryptocurrancy that I don't have. No PayPal, no BACS details etc. I know PayPal take a cut, but if they increased subs enough that might not be an issue.
(b) over-compression, watermark, etc. I haven't, I confess, read the site Ts&Cs re: copyright and so on, but I'm not wild about the way the images are mangled. All I've uploaded are snapshots so far.
While these things are workable-around, I think what I'm trying to say is that there are fewer barriers for photographers wishing to share and compare their work on actual specialist photography-sharing sites, so I would assume that that is where more serious photographers go.
