Massachusetts coastline communities

I got an ebike last year and it gave me a great way to see coastal towns here in MA. I'd hope the commuter rail, get off and ride for the day, seeing many attractions. Drawback is that I'd want to be home in time to make dinner so I'd have to watch the time tables for the train, which didn't allow me to see everything I want.
This year I investigate couchsurfing and it seems this may be the key for me to spend a couple of days in a town.
I'm looking this year to going back to the coastline, Looking from Plymouth to Salisbury, on the coast. If anyone wants to host me for an overnight I'd appreciate it. If you're into bike riding you can show me around, local scenes, places of interest, hit the beach for a little while.
I'd even venture out west on the commuter rail as I've yet to explore that area, Concord, Lexington, Fitchburg, anyplace on a commuter line works for me.
Hopefully this post will lead to some exploration.
