Nudeplaces.com lists this place, but no clue how old the listing is or what sort of folk are there (I'd like to avoid cruising sites).

Has anyone been to Baker's Lake in Barrington?

I have heard of nudity in the nature reserves around the greater Chicagoland area. Just seems too risky to me.

First off, I missed the note the first time that the report was from 2021.

I visited today, and while it's pretty empty of people for a sunny Sunday afternoon, I wouldn't call it a good spot at all. I found exactly two well-shaded nooks by the water that wouldn't work at all for sunning -- the rest of the place is grassy trails. It's possible the person who posted just finds a spot in the prairie and tramples down enough space to lay out (I did see a trail off the main trail that could have been used for that, or perhaps deer did that), but I would strongly discourage that, as it's an ecologically protected area.
