To me, it seems like this site has been abandoned by the owners, and left in self-destruct mode. Now none of the media seems to load on profiles. Just seems very odd, after nearly 3 weeks. Im glad I never gave this site a dime of my money.
The image issues may be the result of someone trying to fix the problem, but I wouldn't bet money on it.
From what I have observed:
1. New users cannot upload images to their profile (I'm speaking as just such a user, and I am paid and certified)
2. Tech support will not answer issues.
3. There is no site-wide notice acknowledging the issue
4. Images are increasingly disappearing or not displaying.
I'm afraid the evidence suggests an ongoing issue that is worsening, and there is no apparent acknowledgement from the site owners or admins.
I'd think they'd at least do the right thing and quit collecting money, knowing that what people are spending money on isn't working.

Over a decade, and asking friends who are also members also;
The place does feel like it is a shambles.
Over time, i must say.
A decade ago, we did have decent moderators. It was a lovely feeling in the chat room. I am in the UK. And over Saturday afternoon, into Sunday morning, my time. It was great! LIke I how imagine a real, league of nations to be. Friendly, fun. I am not an evening/night person. Certainly not now. But that then, there WAS a magic to the place.
Great, private messaging. Making true. solid friendships around the world.
I cannot remmber the last year which I said hello into the main chat room. We used to have a side chat room, off of the main one. That went into repose some years back also.
Certainly trying to make contact with other sentient human looking entities is very hard here now, and many are noticing. That to be honest, it has only been a monye grifting place for some time.
I may be banned after being honest. so be it.
