I go braless forMY HEALTHandMY COMFORT and NOT for your viewing pleasure!!
The human species has eyes and humans of both sexes tend to use them. Whether we like it or not, people judge us day in and day out on howwe look, how we dress, how we conduct our affairs and what we choose for our viewing pleasure. This applies to men as much as it does to women, although in my experience, women tend to be more highly critical (and perhaps competitive) of other women than they do men. I'm not sure why this should be, but I've seen that.

Grenshaw's comments may have lacked elegance, but I'm not so sure his intention was to be crass. I've seen my wife with and without bras, and she definitely looked betterwithout them.Of course,I canrisk telling my wife that because I know she'll take it as I intend it to be understood. With other women, I keep some comments in check, just in case.

I also happen to think that braless is sexy. But so are dark, pitch black eyes. And the eyes lead to the mind...

Ahem, back to bras and the harm they do...

Hi George,

Just to be clear, I agree with you completely. At the time, I just thought that judging Grenshaw on one post, which could go either way on the creep-o-meter, might be a little hasty. ButI totally understand where you and Heather are coming from. Thanks for contributing.

Living in the heart of the "Bible belt" evidently leads to extra sensitivity. I honestly don't understand how a comment about something or someone being sexy can spur such vehemence. I guess it might be a problem of different people interpreting the term "sexy" differently. I always thought sexy was a good thing, but that's just me, I guess.

A bit off subject here ... Our daily newspaper prints excerpts from past/historic issues. Today it had the following from February 3, 1970:

Quote
The much touted no-bra look will get a severe test this spring with the trend to soft, clinging dress fabrics in jersey and featherweight wool.
The accent on softness poses a problem for women except those who are reed slim. For the majority some sort of inner control is needed - andnaturallythe bra manufacturers have the answer: figure freedom in an extremely soft fabric bra that merely contains rather than restrains.
Designer Olga described it at the recent spring fashion showings as a "return to femininity."

I've been wearing a bra, ever since my wife found one on the rear seat of my car.

I think not my wife never wears one around the house and when she goes out the first (and only thing ) that come off is her bra. her sister are the same way I asked her one time if you doint wear a bra 70-80% of the time why wear one at all the only thing she said was couse you have too
Same here, she wears one when she goes to work or is around textile snobs but her, her mother and both sisters are braless most of the time. Think about it? How would a jock strap and cup feel all the time. I used to have to wear them playing soccer and baseball. Might have been safer but sure as heck was uncomfortable.
