Any Home Mechanics?

OK, all of us are in this group because we enjoy riding bicycles. My question is, how many others consider themselves to be home mechanics?

Personally, I restore vintage bikes, my main interest being English 3 speeds.

Two of the better web sites I've found on bicycle mechanics are bicycletutor.com and parktools.com. Check them out, you will not be disapointed.

i consider myself a shadetree mechanic, old cars, 60's era minibikes, old boat motors and of course bicycles. i have been tinkering, tearing apart and attempting to put back together since i was a kid but not as into it as when i was younger take a effort sometime to change oil in the cars and trucks but once i'm into the garage i'll stay there till dark.
