Why can I not join any groups? No button or anything to do so?

When you click on a group, look on the lefthand side of the page and there should be an option that says (join this group).

If you are on an iOS (iPhone/iPad) or Android device, look at the bottom of the page for a link that says 'desktop version'. Then all of the buttons will appear. This should really be the default on tablets, but phone screens end up with very small icons.
