This is a group for nudists who are able to realize who on here is a fake. Fakes are, for the most part, easy to spot. They usually have enormous friend lists. They never acknowledge or return a message or a post for them. They join lots of groups as to get even more access to more friend requests. Return to DiscussionsMy biggest red flag (aside from text that seems to be either AI or from someone who's primary language is not English) is when someone messages me and almost immediately wants to take the chat to another platform or messenger. Some are certified accounts I have friended and others are just out of the blue. What's the reason for this? What are the risks? Are there any legit people on here with practical reasons for wanting to chat on signal?

You are absolutely spot on with that. I decline any friend requests and don't respond to messahes that have Zangi, Whats app or others in their profile or posts. It seems that Zangi is the preferred media for the SSH (Spammers, Scammers and Hookers) crowd
I hate it when people chat on the messenging apps. They usually want your money or want to send you their nudes, or they are looking for money or looking for your nudes!
Look, I am a ""privacy"" type of person, that is why I watch some of the pro-privacy channels on YouTube talking about privacy-respecting apps.
One of the ones that was way better that was reccommended by Techlore channel on YouTube was the BRIAR app and I have adopted use of it to do instant messaging with anyone who voluntarily decides to message me on there, IN ORDER TO VET WHOEVER MESSAGES ME AS EITHER FOUND TO BE A SCAMMER OR FOUND OUT TO BE MORE LEGITIMATE AS A USER ON HERE. I have done that with several unsolicited messages.
I have had a few close-calls on here. So many of the unsolicited messengers on here are usually scammers, grifters, fake accounts, bot fake accounts, or really bad kind of manipulative. And I have had bad encounters with female profiles too.
I officially say I am not any longer dating anyone or looking to date or engage in romantic or sexual relations with anyone and that I DO NOT WANT ANYMORE NEW FRIEND REQUESTS, so that I do not get entangled with the scammers, grifters, fake profiles, or manipulative people.
I also set my profile to private. After that I mostly got way way less friend requests.
For what is worth, this website has a few upsides and a lot of flaws, but I let the good experiences on here prevail in my use of this website.
To me, the website here is like going to a big "All Are Welcome" type of bar. You never know who you will bump into, but you want to avoid being seen or heard by anyone else except the staff if you are looking to visit but not talk to people. So people go into their own corners, and they always need to be left alone. It also is like going to a nude beach on here, people go there to enjoy the beach for themselves, not always to be seen by other people. And they usually do not like being seen by people they do not recognize, so they try not to talk to people on here unless it is pertinent to something they saw about the announcements on the board at the posting kiosk at the front of the beach. That does not stop the bad behavior from happening, so people gotta speak to management about the bad behavior when they see some wierd things go down, that does not mean you should cancel free speech willy nilly. And different countries have different laws on free speech, but the management, like at the beaches or resorts in America, usually are Americans or German-Americans, so they adopt the views held more commonly among people in America or in Germany, depending on the person in Management.
I try my hardest to avoid letting scummy behavior appear from myself. I always also try to see what works and what does not work.
And I always try to look for the helpers, as Mr. Rogers would want me to do, and to thank them genuinely.
It is so sad the state of the internet, with the capacity of the scammers to get away with AI scams. But I DO NOT WANT THE AMERICAN VERSION OF THE UNITED KINGDOM ONLINE SAFETY ACT OF 2023 implemented IN THE UNITED STATES!!
Scammers are everywhere because of the state of the economy and the economic nihilism people feel globally. Period, end of story!
That DOES NOT MEAN we need to resort to DRACONIAN TOTALITARIANISM or to XENOPHOBIA against Racial, Ethnic, and Other Types of Minorities, including Single Men from Foreign Countries.
What we need are hands on approaches with BOOTS ON THE GROUND APPROACHES IN THE NATIONS WHERE THE SCAMMERS LIVE, NOT THE UNWARRENTED SURVEILLANCE AND CRIMINALIZATION AND UNWARRANTED TRACKING OF THEIR VICTIMS!!
WE NEED TO AVOID DESTROYING JUDICIARY DUE PROCESS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, AND WE DO NOT NEED TO DESTROY THE PROPER PROCESSES FOR THE PROPER COLLECTION OF EVIDENCE TO PROVE SOMEONE GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT!!
And again, Totalitarianism, in my humble opinion, is very bad. I am avoiding totalitarians as much as I can!
I know some of you are all able to read this and take it with a light-hearted approach, and to not count me as some serious person as an authority, but to always remain critical of everyone on here, and remain critical of everything you see online!
Watch out for the scammers! They are bad!
But please, please, stop the age-verification processes and DO NOT FORCE PEOPLE TO HAND OVER THEIR IDENTITY ONLINE, THAT IS TOTALITARIAN AND VIOLATES THE PRINCIPLES OF FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION, AUTONOMY, AND FREE SPEECH AND FREEDOM OF CONSCIENCE!
