We've got a few trees growing in pots that need to be put into the ground. I think I'll be getting some new perennials to plant as well.

RE: Get out and plant!Usually a copper based fungicide is the only thing that will control black spot. I have found that trimming off all leaves within a foot of the ground helps, and making sure that the plants have enough calcium and magnesium.

RE: Get out and plant! - esp. May 5, 2012I unfortunately will have a short WNGD due to my work schedule. I am however going to observe the day for what ever time I do have. I bought another apple tree that needs planting for starters and about 100 pickling cucumbers to transplant. Even though I have to work I'm still excited because it will be the first day in a while that my wife and I can garden together due to our conflicting work schedules. What little time we have on WNGD will be great.
