I can't believe.......
Return to Discussionshow long it took for me to realize how good being skyclad would be. I guess it took me becoming a nudist to see it for the joy it could be. I wonder if it affects the energy of the ritual or is it just the idea of being laid bare before the god/goddesses that is the real attracter. All I know is it feels good being nude and the excitement of being nude in front of others is a wonderful feeling. No Judging YAY!
I certainly appreciate the symbolism of coming before whatever God you worship without any covering. That is about as physically honest as one can be. I personally think it is equally important to do so without shame because feeling shame about your body is the same as finding fault with what the creator has created (you). I also believe that the act of baring our bodies is a first step toward baring our minds and souls so as to come before the creator with complete honesty and humility.
The rituals that follow may vary depending on our particular belief system. While worshiping skyclad is generally associated with paganism I have often thought about how much more meaningful Christian rituals might be if they were also performed while nude. (Imagine a marriage ceremony in which the bride's veil covered her whole body and at the conclusion of the ceremony, when the couple are declared man and wife, the groom removes the veil exposing the bride's nude body)
