When I first started I was all over the map with the first word. I wasn't aware of strategy, but now I always use the word AUDIO. It was once the WORDLE word of the day, so i did get a WORDLE in 1

AUDIO good starter word (4 vowels), I use CANOE/OCEAN or PIOUS (each has 3 vowels) but i might look at audio as well

I use ADIS. I know it's Spanish but it accepts it. Any words that are mostly vowels is a good starting word.
