About art4occupy
I have spent over ten years developing a verbal and visual aesthetic of acceptance. Social nudity and naturism was a very important part of that aesthetic from the very beginning, when I was first learning to draw from a life model in a classroom setting. Having encountered a young woman who was modeling as a form of therapy, I grew more and more devoted to forging an art based on mutual understanding and responsiveness. As a Polish-born American who was forced to emigrate at a young age, I suffered my own insecurities. My own struggle with social acceptance has enabled me to empathize with many marginalized people.

My Interests
The Polish word for life modeling or the artistic nude is simply akt - with its primary meaning shared by the English word act - both derived through Latin from an ancient Indo-European word that meant to lead, to move or to drive. To propel. It may seem ironic that it would come to describe a particular act in which there is not expected to be any movement at all - just to pose - but, of course, posing in the nude is a very important act and it does drive people - some it drives crazy. Others are driven more toward sanity. I think nudity tends to heal more than it tends to harm and that social nudity is a very unaggressive way to occupy space and to protect your interests - my interest is to pass that message along to a very sick society.

I have accumulated a lot of footage over the past few years and I'm proud to say that some of my film-making is finally up and available for viewing at 4OCCUPY.com - I'm also excited to mention that a short adaptation of my first feature documentary is in contention for the grand prize at the Passaic County Film Festival. Music
I love music. I love to sing and dance a lot - even if others don't approve...:) I haven't had a chance to enjoy much music lately - for the same reason that I didn't log on to this website for over a year! I was working very hard to get my own website up and running the way I wanted it to look, all while moving around Poland and the U.S. Now that 4OCCUPY.com is up and running I can get back to the tunes!
My Heroes
I have a lot heroes. Jesus. Buddha. St. Paul. St. Luke. Jane Austen. Zeromski. Conrad. Brecht. AJ, my beautiful muse. My friend Nate, whom I helped in his campaign to become the first elected Occupy candidate in America and who is starting a seed co-op. Most recently, my hero is my great friend Margaret with whom I was able to travel across Europe for 6,000 miles and without whom ART4OCCUPY would not exist. I keep trying to encourage her to visit this website so she can not only meet others but also practice her English - unfortunately, it's not that easy.
