A lot of folks ask me about my name. If you could not otherwise tell, I am a biker. Some of the folks with whom I ride noticed that it seemed every time they would ride with me, it always rained on us. A couple of my friends started calling me 'The Rainmaker' and one of them, in the dark of night, spray painted the word 'Rainmaker' across the gas tank of my bike. Well, the name stuck and most everybody in the biking world that knows me now calls me Rainmaker. I have been involved in social nudism for over 40 years. I guess it all started in my childhood. I was fortunate enough to have grown up in a rural area and my friends and I used to spend many days at our local swimming hole which was nothing more than the deep part of the creek that flowed into the river. I can never remember wearing a swimming suit or shorts or anything else to go swimming there. That was our skinny dipping hole. I guess I never outgrew those days. In my adult years, my skinnydipping continued at every possible opportunity, including fishing, canoeing and boating, tubing, and rafting. I used to go backpacking a lot and we even took opportunities to camp with little or no clothing from time to time. I now find myself a member of White Tail Resort (formerly White Tail Park nudist campground) where I have been a member for 24 years. I am also a member of the AANR. I am retired from a 34 year career with the government (of which I choose not to discuss for a variety of reasons) and now work as a bartender at different places. I am fairly well educated and am as comfortable in a tuxedo as I am in jeans and a t-shirt. My career and other periods of time in my life afforded me certain graces and culture. I enjoy reading and writing and have even had several articles and other writing published. As far as my biker lifestyle is concerned, I now ride my bike most everywhere that I go. I am not, by any means of the term, a 'fair weather' or 'weekend rider'. I ride all year 'round and in all weathers. I ride a Harley out of personal preference, but I hold no ill feelings toward any other brand or type of bike nor the folks that ride them. My bike is far from the best looking bike that ever rolled down a highway, but it is well ridden. My bike does not sit in front of the house like so many others so that all that pass can see that I own a bike. Mine stays on the road. And I do not WEAR my bike, I ride it. It seems so many people that ride bikes try to prove to everybody that they are a biker by wearing all of these "biker" shirts with all the logos and stuff on them. Rarely will you see me wear anything that has a logo on it. In addition to my nudist and naturist activities and my passion for riding my motorcycle, I have other interests that include the Golden Age of Piracy (and most things related) as well as the fur trapping and mountain man era of American history. I am also an advocate for responsible gun ownership in the US.
