- For those who may be interested in chatting off site, I only do it on Proton mail or Zangi. Too many privacy and security issues Google and the other popular sites.
- I remember when long distance chatting meant waiting 2 weeks or longer for a response by mail. And you say as much as you wanted or needed to get your point across. Now everyone wants an immediate, short response. If you take too long to respond people think that you're ignoring them and leave or even block you. Both Duck and I prefer to use TN message, email or other methods to correspond about things that can't be talked about adequately (or aren't permitted) in the chat room.
- In my humble (?) opinion, PM's are okay to start, but mail is better long term. You can say more while taking your time to say it.
