RE: Rhymes or Limericks.Bigamy, they say, is a vice,
And more than one spouse is not nice,
But one is a bore,
I'd prefer three or four,
And the plural of spouse is spice.

Post #143ManOfWicklowUltra NudistA lie has speed, but truth has endurance. RE: Rhymes or Limericks. There is a young woman named Lenny,
Who wished that her name could be Jenny,
She said, "I won't curse,
My name could be worse,
It's not Benny, Denny, Kenny, or Henny."

RE: Rhymes or Limericks.A pretty barmaid who worked in a bar
With the drunken old letches would spar.
She said, "This is so not
What I planned when I got
My art history degree from Bryn Mawr."

Post #145ManOfWicklowUltra NudistA lie has speed, but truth has endurance. RE: Rhymes or Limericks.A computer was something on TV
From a science fiction show of note
A window was something you hated to clean
And ram was the cousin of a goat.
Meg was the name of my girlfriend
And gig was a job for the nights
Now they all mean different things
And that really mega bytes.
An application was for employment
A program was a TV show
A cursor used profanity
A keyboard was a piano.
Memory was something that you lost with age
A CD was a bank account
And if you had a 3-inch Floppy
You hoped nobody found out.
Compress was something you did to the garbage
Not something you did to a file
And if you unzipped anything in public
You'd be in jail for a while.
Log on was adding wood to the fire
Hard drive was a long trip on the road
A mouse pad was where a mouse lived
And a backup happened to your commode.
Cut you did with a pocket knife
Paste you did with glue
A web was a spider's home
And a virus was the flu.

Jill came down with fifty cents,
Do you think they went for water?

RE: Rhymes or Limericks. When bedtime is neigh
And all I can do is yawn and sigh
Instead of working at a feverish haste
I just find something to cut and paste.
And off to bed while the moon is still high. This morning while the sky was overcast
I slowly completed each morning task
Now that I drank my coffee, black,
Ill give rhyming a crack.
But first I must check the mail, Ill be back real fast.

Post #149ManOfWicklowUltra NudistA lie has speed, but truth has endurance. RE: Rhymes or Limericks. Now let me get this right,
It's early afternoon for you,
But for me it is ten at night,
And your clock is saying two,
We never will ever win,
When I am signing out,
You are just signing in,
Oh what is this time about.

RE: Rhymes or Limericks.Mr. Weiner, I once was a fan;
You're an outspoken, liberal man.
But I'm sorry you're screwed
By the ick factor, dude,
So your mayor plans simply don't scan.
